The Auspitz family entered the closeout market with their first retail store in 1977, when Richard "Papa" Auspitz opened the OK Corral Freight company in Hallandale, Florida. A general merchandise closeout store, it exposed Richard's son, Jon, to the world of closeout merchandising. Armed with his father's teachings in the retail closeout business, along with several years in food distribution, Jon Auspitz founded Wham Food and Beverage Company in 1993 with the simple idea of bringing vendor closeouts directly to discount end users on a national level. Since those humble beginnings nearly two decades ago, Wham Foods has grown to become one of the largest, most trusted and well respected food and beverage closeout buying companies in North America.

*We buy direct from manufacturers and find alternate distribution for their closeouts and overproductions that do not disturb present marketing.*We sell extraordinary values directly to our end-user discount outlets.
*We handle several categories in both retail and foodservice closeout items: shelf stable, refrigerated, and frozen.
*We always handle all logistics in-house to make each transaction a pleasurable, easy experience both for the vendor and the end user.
*We expeditiously pick up nationwide at vendor locations and conveniently ship directly to our customer locations, always adhering to the specific time frame, specifications and restrictions of each client.
*We pay all vendors promptly.
*Our customers are comprised of independent grocery stores, food banks, dollar and discount stores, correctional institutions , as well as other non-traditional user accounts.

We will NEVER offer goods in areas restricted by our vendors.
